What are the services of the Credit Information Company - CRIF Jordan?

CRIF Jordan provides several services, which are as follows:

1. Credit Report Service

CRIF Jordan provides banks and companies with credit reporting service, which is a credit report that contains credit information from reliable sources, whether positive or negative, in addition to showing the historical credit history of the client.

Through the subscription of banks, and various financial institutions to our services, information is collected and database is expanded to reach the highest possible coverage rate for borrowers in the Kingdom of Jordan, which makes the credit decision-making process for the credit provider easy, fast and based upon the most recent data.

2. Credit Bureau Score

CRIF Jordan provides scoring assessment service (Credit Bureau Score) which is a tool that classifies clients according to their probability of default and failing to pay at least one payment for one or more credit lines during the next 12 months. It follows a statistical methodology that relies on a number of key-variables and sub-variables related to the information of clients included in the database of CRIF Jordan, whereby this information is processed within a special application to predict the probability of default.

 

The system gives an assessment in letters and numbers, which classify clients into different groups ranging from least to highest risk, as shown in the following figure:

3. Credit Portfolio Alert Report

The Portfolio Alert Report Service is a report that is extracted by CRIF Jordan platform users which includes the basic information on individuals and companies, whose information is in the database, and who have had specific changes to their information with other credit providers.

4. Batch Inquiry Service

It is an inquiry process that enables credit providers to inquire on a group of their clients (at once) and receive credit report information in the form of a file that can be stored at the lender side and used for any of the following activities:

 Monitoring the credit performance of existing clients by monitoring the change in the (Bureau Score)

 Conducting an analytical study of existing clients, follow-up and collection

 Marketing purposes

 Credit risk analysis of the existing portfolio

 To inquire about the subjects identified in the Portfolio Alert Report

 

5. Bounced Cheque Service

Displaying the data of bounced checks within the credit report, which includes cheques returned for financial reasons only. These cheques have not been settled by the issuer within 15 days from the date they were presented for payment.

The data of returned cheques is shown in the credit report as a "historical data table" rather than as a "blacklist," and this information remains visible on the credit report for 3 to 5 years.
