Information Security Awareness

  The primary goal of the Information Security Department at CRIF Jordan is to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of credit data for clients by protecting sensitive information from unauthorized access, deletion, or modification, while ensuring the availability of information when needed.

 


In line with this, a set of core security measures has been prepared to protect credit data from data providers:

Email Protection Measures

Use unique and strong passwords for important sites, such as banking and email sites.

Avoid clicking on links or opening attachments from unknown resources in emails.

Avoid entering personal information in the auto-fill screen on your browser page.

Identity Theft and Social Engineering Protection Measures

Do not share your personal or credit information with anyone.

Take appropriate protective measures when storing or disposing your personal information, such as national ID or identity number.

Maintain an appropriate level of security and protection on your computers and other electronic devices.

Virus and Malware Protection Measures

Install and maintain antivirus software on your device.

Block pop-up advertisements.

Change passwords regularly.

Keep your antivirus software updated and regularly back up your data.

Avoid using public Wi-Fi networks.

Username and Password Protection Measures

Regularly change your password.

Do not disclose or share your password with anyone.

Avoid writing your password in public places, such as at the back of your credit card or in your wallet.

Choose a strong password; at least ten characters, including uppercase and lowercase letters,numbers and special characters, like in the following example: ExaMp!e@123.

Avoid using personal information like names, birthdates, and children's names to create passwords. 

If you suspect your password has been compromised, change it immediately. 

 

Always remember that CRIF Jordan will never ask you to share any personal or private information via email or phone, unless previously agreed upon with the customer for the method of conveying credit information.
